Week #8

Dear Family and Friends,

Time is flying by way too fast! I can't believe that transfers are tomorrowSeptember 16th! My first transfer over! I love the area I am in now and love my whole district! Luckily no one is going anywhere!

I want to share an awesome experience that I had with an investigator named Stacey. So earlier this week we were teaching her about the Holy Ghost and the role that it plays in answering our prayers. We focused specifically on praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true. Before we invited her to pray to know if the Book of Mormon was true, she said that she always felt good when she was reading it. She hadn't realized that the spirit was witnessing to her that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. However, she wasn't sure if it was all true. So we asked her if she had prayed to know if it was the word of God. Stacey told us that she had not yet done this. So we invited her to do so. She committed to ask her Father in Heaven if it was in fact true.

Later that week we made a quick stop by and asked if she had already asked the big question. Stacey said that she did pray and that she knows that Book of Mormon is true. As soon as we started talking about the Book of Mormon, her face lit up and she couldn't stop smiling!

Such a cool experience to see her come to know the truthfulness of the gospel.

I am loving it here in Ohio and I know for a FACT that this is where God wants me to be. It is important for all of us to constantly ask ourselves, "am I where my Father in Heaven wants me to be?" and I know that if we get to where he needs or wants us, blessings will come. I have seen it in my life and I want all of you to see it in your own lives. I love you all so much. So grateful for all of your testimonies! Don't be afraid to share them!

Love, Elder Scoresby

(Sorry for the short email. I am a little sick today and don't have a ton of energy)
